Credit Cards - Dog Scene accepts all major credit cards (Mastercard, Visa, Discover & American Express) through our secure checkout. Credit cards are also accepted through PayPal. 

PayPal - Dog Scene accepts PayPal payments, however you must go though our checkout to submit your payment. We can not accept direct payments from PayPal (where you did not go through the checkout process).  PayPal payments are expected to be completed within 24 hours of purchase or the order will be cancelled. 

Sales Tax - We are required to collect 8.50% sales tax for items shipped to California.


Fast! - Our goal is to ship the same or next business day after receiving your cleared payment. The cutoff for same day shipment is approx 8am (PT). Payments after 8am usually go the next business day. On rare occasions, we may not be able to meet our goal. If known in advance, it will be noted in the Shipping Banner on the top of most pages (just below the website header), so that you will know BEFORE purchasing. If unexpected delays do occur after your purchase, we will do our best to keep you updated by email as to shipment status and your options. 

Options - At the current time, we normally ship using the United States Postal Service. We offer Standard Shipping & Priority Mail options on most items. Standard Shipping will be sent by 1st Class Mail depending on the weight. For our international customers, we offer shipping by First Class International and Priority Mail International.On some larger shipments we may use UPS or FedEx at our discretion. We don't offer Express Mail or Overnight options. 

Locations - At the current time, we ship only to US and Canada. We do have a few items that may not be shipped to Canada due to weight or other restrictions. This will be noted in the description and/or during checkout.

Charges - Most of our items are free shipping to US Addresses. If an item has a shipping charge, our fixed rate fees have been set based on the weight of the item, plus a small handling fee and include insurance. The S/H fee can be calculated in the shopping cart or during checkout, before finalizing your purchase. 

Discounts - Most of our items are free shipping and don't qualify for a shipping discount. However IF there is a shipping charge, multiple items purchased together will result in a lower overall S/H charge. The charge will be shown in the cart during checkout.  

Packaging - We do our best to securely pack your items from shipment. We may remove and discard hangars at our discretion.  In some cases when items are in flimsy manufacturers packaging, your item may be seperated from its package for ease of shipment, but the package will be included.  At our discretion, we may combine shipments to the same address and multiple purchases may be shipped separately due to weight or size.

Notifications/Tracking - You will receive an email when your item is shipped. We use tracking on all our shipments, so you will be able to track your shipment at the USPS website using the number you will be given by email. 


Defective Items - We do our best to inspect each item to make sure there are no defects prior to sending. We don't sell used items, so any defective products have come from the manufacturer that way or was damaged in shipment. If your item is defective on receipt, please contact us via email right away for refund or replacement arrangements. If you feel the item is defective after use or 30 days, most items are guaranteed by the manufacturer and you may contact them for satisfaction. 

Does Not Fit - If the item does not fit your needs for any reason, you may return it and we will refund the purchase price (shipping & handling is not refundable). Free shipping items will have a 20% restocking fee deducted from the refund. The restocking fee applies to free shipping items only and covers a portion of the original shipping expenses which are non-refundable and were built into the purchase price. The item must be returned in original/new condition with all tags/packaging intact within 30 days from purchase for a refund. Sorry, we can not exchange for larger or smaller sizes due to inventory control limitations. Please measure your dog before purchasing. We have put all measurements from the package or manufacturer guidelines in the size chart accompanying each item description. Please email us if you need a more specific measurement prior to purchasing. Breeds listed are only a guideline, since breed sizes vary you need to measure your dog to be sure! Even after measuring some items will still end up not fitting, so we will be happy to refund the purchase price (minus s/h) in these cases. 

Other Reasons - If for any reason, the item doesn't fit your needs or satisfaction, you may return it as long as the item is in new unused condition with all tags/packaging. If the item was defective or you feel it was inappropriately represented, please contact us for resolution.

No Exchanges - Unfortunately we can not exchange for larger or smaller sizes due to inventory control limitations. Please return the item for a refund and purchase the correct size at your convenience. 

Restocking Fee
 - 20% Restocking Fee applies ONLY to Free Shipping items. It does not apply to items that incurred a shipping charge. The restocking fee is necessary as it covers a portion of the original shipping expenses we incurred, which are non-refundable and were built into the purchase price.

Missing/Incorrect Items - Although rare, mistakes can happen. If you have received an incorrect item or an incomplete order, please contact us for immediate resolution. 

Where/When to Return - Please send the item to the return address on the packing slip included with your order. Please include the packing slip (or copy) with the return so we know where to apply the refund. If the packing slip is unavailable, please include a note with your name, address, & phone number. We would also appreciate a short annotation on the reason for return.

Items MUST be returned within 30 days of purchase for a refund. We go by the purchase date and the return parcel postmark to determine the 30 days (for example if you purchased the item on Aug 1, the return must be postmarked on or before Aug 30 to receive a refund). 

Phone Orders 

We normally take all of our orders online and are unable to take telephone orders at the current time. We know that some customers hesitate to enter their personal & credit card info online and would like to call us to place an order. We don't have the ability to process credit cards except over the internet. Please be assured your information is secure (see Security section below) if you enter your information online in our checkout.

Dog Scene is a website selling dog products and/or promoting it's affiliate partner's products. In some cases you are being directed to another website (such as eBay & Entirely Pets) for your transactions.

You can shop at Dog Scene online with confidence. We have partnered with PayPal.com, a leading payment gateway, to offer safe and secure credit card transactions for our customers. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our payment gateway provider's (PayPal) database, only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such. After a transaction, your private information (credit cards, social security numbers, financials, etc.) will not be stored on our servers.

Your privacy is important to us and we value your trust in our keeping your personal information private. Please review our privacy policy to be assured that Dog Scene will never sell, rent, barter, or share your information or personal details with anyone. All data is collected for our internal use only.

We receive and may store any information you enter in our website. You may order products, request information, or join our newsletter list. Unlike many online shopping sites, we do NOT collect/keep credit card information. Since all our payments are processed securely through PayPal, we never see your full credit card information The types of information that can be collected are:
