Dog Scene's PoliciesPayment PaymentsCredit Cards - Dog Scene accepts all major credit cards (Mastercard, Visa, Discover & American Express) through our secure checkout. Credit cards are also accepted through PayPal and Google Checkout. On the shopping cart page you should select 'Dog Scene Checkout' to pay by Credit Card. PayPal - Dog Scene accepts PayPal payments, however you must go though our checkout to submit your payment. We can not accept direct payments from PayPal (where you did not go through the checkout process). If you pay by eCheck, we will wait for it to clear (approx 4 business days) before shipping. On the shopping cart page you should select 'Dog Scene Checkout' to pay by PayPal. PayPal payments are expected to be completed within 24 hours of purchase or the order may be cancelled (does not apply to eBay purchases). Money Orders/Cashiers Checks - Dog Scene accepts Money Orders for purchases, provided they are received within 14 days of purchase (7 days for eBay Auctions). If your Money Order/Cashiers Check is not received within 14 days, the item will be returned to our inventory. Money Orders received after 14 days, will be honored only if the item is still available. If the item is no longer available, then the Money Order will be returned to you. For Faster Service please use a Credit Card, PayPal or Google Checkout to pay for your purchase! Cashiers Checks are handled the same as Money Orders. International buyers paying by Money Order should send an International Money Order (ie. Canada Post Money Orders not accepted). On the shopping cart page you should select 'Dog Scene Checkout' to pay by Money Order. ShippingFast! - Our goal is to ship the same or next business day after receiving your cleared payment. The cutoff for same day shipment is approx 9am (PT). Payments after 9am usually go the next business day. On rare occasions, we may not be able to meet our goal. If known in advance, it will be noted in the left column on our shopping cart page, or next to a particular item, so that you will know BEFORE purchasing. If unexpected delays do occur after your purchase, we will do our best to keep you updated by email as to shipment status and your options. Options - At the current time, we ship using the United States Postal Service only. We offer Standard Shipping & Priority Mail options on most items. Standard Shipping will be sent by 1st Class Mail or Parcel Post, depending on the weight (shipments over 1 lb will go Parcel Post). For our international customers (Canada & UK), we offer shipping by First Class International and Global Priority Mail. Charges - Our fixed rate Shipping/Handling (S/H) fees have been set based on the weight of the item, plus a small handling fee and include insurance. The S/H fee can be calculated in the shopping cart or during checkout, before finalizing your purchase. In most cases the S/H will be listed in the item description. Discounts - Multiple items may be combined in shipment to reduce your overall S/H charge. Usually the S/H on the 2nd, 3rd, etc item is discounted by $1.50 or more. Combined shipment can only occur as long as all items are in the shopping cart before payment. We can not give combined S/H discounts on addtional items purchased later and paid for seperately. Notifications/Tracking - You will receive an email when your item is shipped. We use delivery confirmation on all our shipments, so you may be able to track your shipment at the USPS website using the delivery confirmation number you will be given by email. However, please keep in mind that the delivery confirmation is not a true tracking system as the USPS is only required to scan packages upon delivery. Tracking is not available for most international shipments. Insurance - Insurance is included in the S/H price. Please contact us if your item was lost or damaged in shipment. Returns
Defective Items - We do our best to inspect each item to make sure there are no defects prior to sending. We don't sell used items, so any defective products have come from the manufacturer that way or was damaged in shipment. If your item is defective on receipt, please contact us via email within 14 days from purchase for refund or replacement arrangements. If you feel the item is defective after use or 14 days, most items are guarenteed by the manufacturer and you may contact them for satisfaction. Does Not Fit - If the item does not fit (please measure your dog before purchasing), you may return it and we will refund the purchase price (shipping & handling is not refundable). The item must be returned in original/new condition with all tags/packaging intact within 14 days from purchase for a refund. Sorry, we can not exchange for larger or smaller sizes due to inventory control limitations. Please measure your dog before purchasing. We have put all measurements from the package or manufacturer guidelines in the size chart accompanying each item description. Please email us if you need a more specific measurement prior to purchasing. Breeds listed are only a guideline, since breed sizes vary you need to measure your dog to be sure! Even after measuring some items will still end up not fitting, so we will be happy to refund the purchase price (minus s/h) in these cases. Other Reasons - Generally we only accept returns on defective or wrong size items. However, if you feel you have another valid reason for return, please contact us via email for resolution. Regardless of the reason for return, the item must be returned (postmarked) within 14 days of purchase (in original condition with all tags/packaging intact) to receive a refund. No Exchanges - Unfortunately we can not exchange for larger or smaller sizes due to inventory control limitations. Please return the item for a refund and purchase the correct size at your convenience. Missing/Incorrect Items - Although rare, mistakes can happen. If you have received an incorrect item or an incomplete order, please contact us for immediate resolution. Where/When to Return - Please send the item to the return address on the packing slip included with your order. Please include the packing slip (or copy) with the return so we know where to apply the refund. If the packing slip is unavailable, please include a note with your name, address, & phone number. We would also appreciate a short annotation on the reason for return. Phone OrdersWe normally take all of our orders online, however we can take telephone orders when necessary. In the case of a telephone order, please note that our credit card processing system does utilize the same technology over the internet (using Authorize.net). We know that some customers hesitate to enter their personal & credit card info online and call us to place an order. Either way your information is secure (see Security section below), however we want you to know that your personal information and payment will be processed in technically the same manner whether you place it online or over the phone. If you wish to place an order and don't want to enter your credit card via the secure payment gateway (Authorize.net), we suggest using a Money Order for your purchase.
