These boots are best for protection from snow, ice, mud, sand burrs, thorns, cold, asphalt, gravel, cactus, hot pavement. Ideal on grass, dirt, the beach or for hunting. However... If you are looking for an all around durable boot for both indoor/outdoor use (good for stopping slippage and protecting floors, furniture and dogs themselves from scratching) we recommend the Ultra Paws DURABLE Boots () instead. The Ultra Paws® Rugged Dog Boot is made with dense, water resistant but breathable nylon material and wrapped with a recycled tire material. This boot lives up to its name because it provides protection from most conditions - plus they'll stay on your dog's feet. Easy to put on - difficult to slip off. Side seams expand - making it easy to put on the boot. Two Velcro® straps with slides fasten the boots. Foam at the closure cushions the dog's foot when the boot is tightened. The foam creates a secure grip - these boots stay on! Tough, water resistant 1000 denier nylon material with the top of the toe wrapped in Toughtek®. The sole is Reprotek®, a recycled tire material that is flexible, skid resistant and durable. The Rugged Reprotek® sole is up to 1.2 mm thick. Reprotek® performs in wet and dry, hot and cold conditions. This boot is slightly less pliable and suited for tougher conditions than the Ultra Paws Durable boot.

***Unfortunately, there isn't a perfect solution for dogs that drag their feet. The manufacturer has not yet found a material that will stand up to dragging and still be comfortable for the dog. We recommend the use of some type of shoe goo as wear appears. It is a rubber cement-like product that has shown good results when applied to the top and seam of the boot. You may also coat the top and toe of the boot prior to wearing with shoe goo to prolong the life of the boot for a dog that drags the paw. While this boot is extemely rugged/durable, these boots nor any other boot we sell are guaranteed against wear & tear for dogs that drag their feet.
